The Yass High School STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths) Facility is a new state-of-the-art two storey building situated in the middle of the campus. The building replaces 3 demountable dwellings and is situated adjacent the existing science building for cohesive purposes. Architecturally, the building has a large presence with its main structure comprising of precast panels which will encase the masses of façade glazing and structural steel vertical louvres. There is also the inclusion of a lift, covered walkways, ramps and landscaping to link with the existing school.

The building has two levels, each with a footprint of 600m2 encompassing a variety of learning spaces. The ground floor will consist of a large science lab, general learning spaces (GLS) and two seminar rooms, as well as apparatus and preparation zones. Level 1 will accommodate GLS rooms with enhanced interactive audio-visual elements and a design lab focused on collaborative learning.
