Parkes Fire Station – Design and Construct

The new Fire Station in Parkes, NSW, focused the internal design around the specific requirements for a Fire Station including a watch room, meal and living spaces, locker rooms, two access bathrooms and a gym installed for the firefighters. The build also included two engine bays to securely store and charge the equipment and fire trucks ready for the next call out. Externally, the emphasis was on providing easy access and plenty of space for the fire crews to work in, while still maintaining the surrounding landscape and recognisable characteristics of a fire station. This included a large parking area, driveway and low maintenance landscaping.
