Tharbogang Waste Transfer Station

The project involved the construction of Community Recycling Centre, site office, sealed access road and car park, waste stockpile area, waste bin storage areas for scrap metal, green waste, concrete & masonry and general domestic waste.

Considerable earthworks were undertaken to create the grade level changes and benching needed for the waste stockpile area. A structural wall of 60m in length was constructed to house the bin locations.

The site had the capacity to produce stormwater runoff, so signficant site wide stormwater drainage and a stormwater collection pond (located directly west of the existing weighbridge) was also delivered as part of the project.
