Department of Defence Health Centre

Value: $16M

Location: Bandiana, VIC

The construction of the Albury Wodonga Health Centre was part of a nationwide Joint Health Command Garrison Facilities Upgrade Project, providing contemporary, fit-for-purpose health care facilities to Australian Defence Force personnel. The design and construction meets all current Defence policies and Australasian Health Facility Guidelines.

This project involved the construction of a brand-new health facility at South Bandiana and the demolition of the existing facility at Latchford Barracks. The new facility is approximately 2700m2 in total across an almost 11,000m2 site. The facility is a single storey, steel framed, brick veneer construction with typical hospital finishes throughout, built upon a 250mm concrete slab and bored piers. Adjacent to the new building is a new carpark and landscaping.
