Albury TAFE Connected Learning Common

The reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing Connected Learning Common consisted of the structural demolition of parts of the existing building, extension of the ground floor space through a split level tiered seating area and the first floor extension to incorporate a fully glazed open void overlooking the auditorium teaching space.

Other facets of the project include a 30kW gas turbine to the plant room designed to generate much of the electricity requirements for the building and incorporating a heating and cooling function via co-generation processes, a new lift servicing the three split levels, architectural coloured sunshades and steelwork to the southern and eastern elevations and new external walkways linking the new structure with other parts of the Campus.
