We’re now looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our high-performing team, based from our Bathurst office.

This is a hands-on, generalist HR role where you’ll be a trusted first point of contact for employees and managers, with a particular focus on supporting our Cleaning division. You’ll have the opportunity to work across the full employee lifecycle, provide practical HR advice and contribute to initiatives that improve the employee experience.

About the role

Working closely with managers and employees across the business, you will provide practical, timely and commercially focused HR support.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and support on a broad range of HR and employment matters.
  • Supporting the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and offboarding.
  • Preparing HR correspondence, employment documentation and other people-related materials.
  • Interpreting awards, legislation, policies and employment conditions.
  • Supporting managers to confidently address employee matters and navigate complex situations.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Reviewing and improving HR policies, procedures and processes.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve HR practices.
  • Providing general HR administration and support across Joss operations.
  • Travelling to regional locations to support employees and managers will be required, including some overnight travel.

About you

You’ll be a practical and approachable HR professional who enjoys working with people and can confidently balance day-to-day priorities with more complex matters.

You will bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, with relevant experience, or a relevant HR qualification with significant relevant HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment relations, with experience interpreting awards highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
  • The confidence to provide clear, practical advice to managers and employees.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
  • Resilience and the ability to manage sensitive or challenging situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to confidentiality.

Why join Joss?

At Joss, you’ll be part of a people-focused regional business where your work has a genuine impact. We’re known for our professionalism, reliability and strong relationships with our clients, while staying genuinely connected to the communities and people we work with.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across a diverse organisation, build strong relationships with operational teams and managers, and contribute to the continued development of our people and HR practices.

If you’re looking for a role where you can make a real difference, work closely with the business and have the opportunity to influence how HR is delivered, we’d love to hear from you.

A valid NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment will be required as a condition of employment.
