Insurance Supervisor - Tamworth

Joss Group is a proud family-owned business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building, maintenance and insurance services across regional New South Wales, ACT & Victoria. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor – Insurance to join our team.

Based in Tamworth, this hands-on role combines assessments, estimating, project coordination, subcontractor management and client communication. You will play a key role in ensuring insurance rectification works are scoped accurately, delivered safely and completed to the high standards our clients expect, and in accordance with our contractual requirements.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct site inspections, prepare detailed scopes and estimates for insurance-related works.
  • Coordinate subcontractors for quoting, specialist reporting and completion of works.
  • Supervise maintenance and rectification projects from commencement to completion.
  • Liaise with clients to arrange access and schedule works.
  • Prepare work orders for contractors.
  • Monitor progress, maintain accurate records and report to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure all projects comply with company WHS and QA requirements.

  • Deliver estimates within contractual KPI timeframes.
  • Keep projects moving through strong planning and communication.
  • Build productive relationships with clients, subcontractors and colleagues.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and professionalism.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and team performance.

What you’ll bring

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the building industry.
  • Experience in estimating and scoping building or insurance works.
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office and estimating software.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
